Diamond Platinumz records song for President Museveni

Tanzanian singer Nasibu Abdul Juma Issack, popularly known by his stage name Diamond Platnumz has worked on a song dedicated to President Yoweri Museveni, events promoter Balaam Barugahara announced Thursday in a Facebook post.

“Thank You Diamond Platinum[z] for the New Classic hit for Mzee Yoweri Kaguta Museveni,” Barugahara, who has close relations with the first family and has always hired musicians for President Museveni’s campaigns posted.

Barugarahara has been sharing posts on social media while on his US tour where has been promoting President Yoweri Museveni’s leadership.
Balam Barugahara has been in the music business for a while, so getting a musician like Diamond Platinumz to record a song for President Museveni wouldn’t be a surprise.
The chief executive of Wasafi Record Label has also recently shown that he has an interest in politics, especially after campaigning for Raila Odinga in the 2022 Kenya presidential elections.

Odinga lost to William Ruto and commenters on Barugahara’s post made sure to remind him.
“Just to remind u [sic] that Diamond campaigned for Odinga and lost the elections, now watch the space,” said one of the commenters.
Another wrote: “Diamond Platinum is the biggest artist in the region. His music goes beyond borders. Thank you for loving Gen Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.”

Balam Barugahara did not reveal the details of the song and when it will be released. He could not be immediately reached for comment, as his known contacts were off.
Platinumz himself has not posted anything about the song on social media. The Tanzanian bongo Flava recording artist seems to be cementing his relationship with Uganda, considering he already has children with a Ugandan woman, Zari Hassan.
