Daniella Atim, wife of singer Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleone, has asked her brother-in-law and singer Weasel to acknowledge his wrongs and start working on becoming a better husband.
Since the picture of battered Weasel’s wife, Sandra Teta, hit social media, Daniella has used her Instagram, which has over 35,000 followers, to call for justice and also expose some of the things that the public wouldn’t have known.
“Dear ladies, there is no better time to empower a fellow woman than now. All you self-proclaimed feminists, the time is now. Let’s speak up, let Sandra’s voice be heard through ours. Sandra’s children deserve better,” reads part of the caption Daniella posted to accompany pictures showing injuries she said Teta sustained from being beaten by Weasel in December of last year.
In one of the posts, she called out her husband, Chameleone, for parading Teta in public well-knowing she wasn’t in good shape.
Since the domestic violence incident became public, two videos have been released by both Chameleone and Weasel showing Teta in good shape.
In one of the videos, she is seen dishing out cash at MC Mariachi who was performing at Plot 8 Bar in Kololo.
Daniella posted a WhatsApp conversation in which she is telling her husband that their approach to dealing with the issue is not right.
“What you guys are doing is not good. You guys are not doing the right thing. Her tooth is broken and you can see it,” she texts Chameleone, who replies that “all will be well”.
She told Chameleone that “Weasel needs help” and he might “kill that girl if we keep shielding him.”
Daniella has called on her followers to keep resharing the information so that Teta can get justice.
The Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police, Luke Owoyesigire, has said Sandra Teta has not filed a complaint to the police yet.
In a Facebook post, Teta has also denied being beaten by Weasel, saying her injuries were sustained from an attack by thugs.
In her latest exposé, Daniella shows Weasel begging her to stop exposing the information, to which she responds:
“Weasel you need to stop. I love you and don’t want you to end up in a bad place. It’s not too late to make peace and be a better husband.”
It is hoped Weasel heeds her timely advice.
