The hospitalized Speaker of Parliament, Jacob Oulanya, demanded to see family and friends or be returned home (Uganda), ChimpReports has learnt.
Oulanyah has for three weeks been demanding to see his father, Nathan Okori; brother Francis Emuna; Chief Justice, Alfonso Owiny-Dolo, Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among and Democratic Party President, Norbert.
According to multiple sources in Government, Oulanyah thinks he has not been receiving adequate visits by his family members and close associates in the U.S, where he was rushed early last month and expected to stay for a longer period.
“He has been asking why none from the family and friends had gone to see him. He wants to see them or return home,” said a source.
The unexpected adjournment of Parliament on Tuesday saw the rushing of Among to Entebbe International Airport for a flight to the U.S.
ChimpReports exclusively broke the news of the departure of Owiny-Dollo, Among and Oulanyah’s brother on Tuesday evening.
We have since learned that the trip was planned last week but it was only kept a secret among those meant to travel and few technical staff at Parliament.
The travel documents for the family members were processed by Parliament. Emuna (speaker’s brother) is a support staff at Parliament.
