The American musician Ne-Yo, real name Shaffer Chimere Smith Jr., is being accused by his wife Crystal Renay of being unfaithful for 8 years, during their 8-year marriage.
Renay, a model, 36, said she will “no longer lie to the public” as she claimed Neyo, 42, had cheated on her with “women who sell their bodies to him unprotected”.
Ne-Yo has not responded directly to his wife’s allegations as he put out a statement claiming he “will work through our challenges behind closed doors”.
Renay made her anguish known via a public Instagram post, with the post coming slightly over a year since the couple announced that they were having a third child together, and that was June 2021.
The model and the Miss Independent singer tied the knot in 2016 but announced their split in February 2020, then they did an about-face and renewed their wedding vows with a Las Vegas ceremony earlier this year.
“8 years. 8 years of lies and deception. 8 years of unknowingly sharing my life and my husband with numerous women who sell their bodies to him unprotected…every last one of them!” Crystal wrote to her 653,000 Instagram followers.
“To say I’m heartbroken and disgusted is an understatement. To ask me to stay and accept it is absolutely insane. The mentality of a narcissist.”
She continued: “I will no longer lie to the public or pretend that this is something it isn’t. I choose me, I choose my happiness and health and my respect I gained 3 beautiful children out of this but nothing else but wasted years and heartache.”
