President Paul Kagame of Rwanda has concluded his private visit to Uganda following two bilateral meetings with President Yoweri Museveni and attending the 48th birthday celebrations of Land Forces Commander Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
President Kagame, who arrived in Kampala Sunday evening, was received by the Security Minister Maj Gen Jim Muhwezi and Gen Kainerugaba.
President Museveni earlier today revealed that Kagame and Gen Kainerugaba are “old friends.”
“I would like to thank H.E Paul Kagame, we are happy that you responded to Lt Gen Muhoozi’s invitation and came. President Kagame and Muhoozi have a long history together. They are old friends,” he said.
President Museveni tweeted Sunday evening that he had met with Kagame for talks on a number of issues, focusing mainly on regional peace, stability, and cooperation.
