Tanzanian singer, Zari Hassan’s baby daddy and ex lover Diamond Platnumz’s estranged father, Mzee Abdul Juma has been diagnised with deadly skin cancer after years of sickness and unhealthy living..
Mzee Juma told Simulizi Na Sauti that he has been having a leg problem for years now.
“Walinikata nyama wakanicheck kisha wakaniambia kwamba niko na matatitzo ya cancer ya ngozi. Nikaenda kwa waganga wa kienyeji. Mara nyingi nakua okay mara nyingi ugonjwa unanirudia.” (Doctors did a sample of my skin and then told me that I have skin cancer. I also sought help from traditional doctors but the disease keeps coming and going)
Mzee Abdul says his daughter Zubeida who lives in the UK was the one who has been helping him get medical attention.
“Alinisaidia sana kupita kiwango. Ni mtoto wangu wa ukweli mwenye roho ya imani. Namuombea Mwenyezi Mungu amfungulie pepo la kheri.” (She helped me so much. She is my real daughter and I am praying to God to bless her)
“Namshukuru. Namshukuru sana.” (I appreciate her so much)
Abdul said Diamond has promised to take him abroad for further treatment before denouncing him as his dad.
“Familia niliyokua nayo ya kwanza waliniambia watanipeleka nje. nIlikua nilishakua na imanani lakini bahati mbaya ilikua sio riziki. Ikatokea tofauti.” (The family I had had promised to take me abroad, unfortunately many things unfolded and that did happen, things turned out different)
He went on to ask for well wishers to help him.
