Spark TV’s Precious Remmie, hubby Bindeeba drag journalist to court over child neglect statements, demand for UGX 300M
Afew days ago, YouTuber Wasswa Emma broke news that Spark Television presenter Precious Remmie Nakitto’s husband is a deadbeat father after abandoning his 13 year old child he shares with a one Akum Sophia.
Emma hosted Sophia on his YouTube channel where she revealed how she was once in a relationship with Bindeeba and later had his baby but since then, he has not supported their daughter in any way.
Sophia explained that when she contacted Ray P begging her to talk to her husband about sending school fees to his daughter, she only advised her to take her to a school she can afford. She also accused Ray P of blocking Maama Fiina from paying school fees for the girl.
Bindeeba and Remmie have through their lawyers today served Wasswa a letter of intent to sue over tarnishing their names with defamatory stories on his YouTube channel called “Justice TV”.
“Your aforesaid deliberate statements do not only contain untrue scandalous and harmful propaganda against our client, but as well defy minimum broadcasting and media standards. Our clients have gone through untold mental suffering, rebuke and anguish owing to the fact that the said publication has continuously lowered their reputation within the estimation of right thinking members of society,” The letter reads.
The couple is demanding an apology and millions in damages.
“You should immediately issue an apology retracting all the false stories perpetuated by yourself against our clients and additionally compensate our clients a sum of UGX 300,000,000,” The letter reads further.
The YouTuber has been given an ultimatum of 14 days.
