Lydia Jazmine (real name Lydia Nabawanuka) has asked her fans to stop pestering her to get married to fellow singer Eddy Kenzo (real name Edrisa Musuuza).
Since 2018, when Kenzo and Rema Namakula’s love journey ended in tears, fans online have been asking the Sitya Loss singer to seek solace from someone in the form of the voluptuous Lydia Jazmine.
However, during an interview, Jazmine asked them to stop, saying their request could be bothering Kenzo.
“Why do you want me to marry Kenzo?” Jazmine asked before she added, “I don’t even know what to say. Leave him alone, you are taking away his peace.”
In November 2021, Jazmine said she was open to a marriage proposal from the father of two.
“If he is interested, he can approach me and I will weigh my options. But I am likely to accept his proposal because he understands music and that is where my life revolves,” she stated.
Kenzo has always had kind words for the Kapeesa singer, but when asked about whether he harbours any romantic feelings for her, he claimed the two are like sister and brother.
“Lydia Jazmine is a beautiful girl, everyone knows that, and on top of the beauty, she has a good and kind heart. I have seen her stand strong for different artistes in sadness and happiness and I think that is a good thing,” Kenzo said in July 2022.
“I am your friend, for not only today or tomorrow, but forever. We are family,” Kenzo promised Jazmine in one of the interviews in July 2022.
